Low-carbon park

Located in the headquarters building China Construction Technology Industrial Park – Low-Carbon Park (Also known as China Construction·Optics Valley Star) is located in the dual-core area of Guanggu Central City in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone and the Wuhan Area of the China (Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Developed by China Construction Third Bureau, the project boasts a total construction area of 1.08 million square meters and features a diverse mix of functions, including Class 5A Grade-A office buildings, the China Building Science and Technology Museum, an international convention center, a Marriott Hotel, and commercial-residential complexes. Centered on the building technology industry, the park brings together sectors such as design and R&D, financial capital, and industrial services, thereby establishing a model system for the integration of industry and urban development.

Park Innovate energy supply methods and make full use of them. Renewable energy, Optimize Envelope structure, Application Zero-carbon smart operation platform, equipped with an integrated solar-storage-charging station. and other measures to achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions by 30%.

▲ Integrated Energy Station Wastewater Source Heat Pump

Completed The first integrated energy station in the Central China region, primarily focused on recovering and utilizing waste water thermal energy, with multi-energy synergy and integrated source-grid-load-storage operations. Through High-pressure variable-frequency sewage-source heat pump unit and water thermal energy storage technology This highly efficient coupling system leverages the fact that the original cooling water system has summer temperatures ranging from 30 to 34°C, while the effluent from the wastewater treatment plant typically has summer temperatures between 20 and 26°C. By exchanging heat between the original cooling water and the effluent, the cooling water temperature is reduced by 6 to 10°C, thereby significantly cutting down on the electricity required for air conditioning. Similarly, in winter, heat can be extracted from the higher-temperature effluent to provide heating, further reducing energy consumption. Each day, this system can convert 70,000 tons of effluent into a “second urban energy source,” dramatically improving energy conversion efficiency. In summer, the cooling capacity reaches 14,400 kilowatts, and in winter, the heating capacity reaches 15,700 kilowatts.

Installed in multiple spaces within the park, including rooftops, corridors, skylights, and basement entrances. 14,000 square meters Single-crystal silicon photovoltaic panels with an installed capacity of 2.1 megawatts, Can contribute approximately each year 2 million degrees of clean electricity, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1,050 tons.

To enhance the thermal insulation performance of buildings and reduce heat gain during summer, thermal insulation films will be applied to portions of the glass curtain walls and exterior windows in Plots E, G, H, and I of the project. The thermal insulation rate reaches 72%. Total solar energy rejection rate Over 60%, Annual savings 1.33 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, Reduce carbon dioxide emissions About 700 tons.

▲ Zero-Carbon Smart Operations Platform

Developed independently by China Construction Third Bureau. Zero-Carbon Smart Operations Platform, Achieve Full-process carbon management, multi-objective energy optimization, and system energy efficiency enhancement. Through its seven subsystems—source, grid, load, storage, control, carbon, and transportation—the platform integrates IoT and AI technologies to achieve real-time optimization of energy equipment within the park. As a result, the platform has reduced energy costs by 23%, improved management efficiency by approximately 40%, and cut operational carbon emissions by 15%, injecting strong digital momentum into the project’s green development.

To achieve efficient energy management, the building is equipped with 3,000 sensors that monitor 15,000 points in real time, enabling “second-level data collection, minute-level early warnings, and hour-level control.” Based on the data transmitted by these sensors, the platform leverages AI algorithms to forecast energy supply and demand for future periods, automatically generating optimal operational strategies and coordinating various energy supply and consumption devices. For example, by analyzing weather conditions and historical energy consumption patterns, the system can predict the building’s electricity, cooling, and heating demands over the next 24 hours and proactively develop an energy dispatch plan. This strategy can boost overall energy efficiency by 15% to 20% without compromising indoor comfort. In office areas, the system can also automatically adjust lighting switches and brightness levels according to natural light conditions and occupancy patterns, achieving energy savings of more than 35% compared to conventional lighting systems.
