Project Overview: This project is a high-rise office building with a total floor area of 104,402.14㎡ and a building height of 176m, primarily designed for office use. The construction entity is China Construction Fourth Bureau Development (Guangzhou Tianhe) Co., Ltd.

Low-carbon and energy-saving technologies: In terms of building energy efficiency, strategies include optimizing site layout and building form, enhancing the thermal performance of the building envelope (such as using ultra-clear laminated triple-silver insulated glass curtain walls), installing sunshades, designing cool passageways, incorporating solar chimneys, and utilizing atrium daylighting to reduce the building's energy demands. On the active energy efficiency front, measures like deploying high-efficiency chiller plants, implementing total heat recovery in fresh-air systems, integrating CO₂ monitoring with automated controls, adopting advanced smart lighting systems, and installing energy-efficient elevators are employed. Additionally, renewable energy solutions are integrated by installing photovoltaic systems on tower rooftops, lateral decorative fins along curtain walls, and podium roofs, while domestic hot water is supplied via air-source heat pumps.


 

Low-carbon benefits: The building achieved a comprehensive energy consumption value of 29.36 kWh/(㎡·a), with an on-site energy-saving rate of 51.0% and an overall energy-saving rate of 61.0%. The utilization rate of renewable energy reached 25.4%, meeting the near-zero-energy building performance requirements outlined in the national standard "Technical Standard for Near-Zero Energy Buildings." Additionally, the building's carbon emissions were reduced to 16.7 kgCO₂. /(㎡·a), annually saving 4 million kWh of electricity, reducing carbon emissions by 2,090 tons, and achieving a carbon reduction rate of 58.9%. This project has been selected for inclusion in the first batch of National Development and Reform Commission’s demonstration list of advanced green and low-carbon technologies.
