Project ▎A 78,000-square-meter ultra-low-energy consumption educational building
Sichuan Nanchong Senior High School is a prestigious Ba-Shu institution with a glorious 90-year history of educational excellence. Founded in 1927 by Mr. Wu Yuzhang, a pioneering proletarian revolutionary and renowned linguist, the school merged with the private Jianhua Middle School established by Mr. Zhang Lan in 1950. In 1952, it was officially designated as Sichuan Nanchong Senior High School by the People's Government of Sichuan Province.
Nanchong High School North New City Campus: Teaching Building and Dormitory Building This is a ultra-low-energy building with a total floor area of 78,343 m².

The teaching building is a corridor-style structure featuring one partially underground level and five above-ground floors (with a few sections extending to six stories). The taller section of the building reaches 35.611 meters in height, while the multi-story portion stands at 21.940 meters (measured from the outdoor design ground level up to the average height between the eaves and roof ridge). The building includes 160 classrooms, along with complementary spaces such as offices, conference rooms, the campus intelligent control center, and the campus radio and television station. Meanwhile, the male and female dormitory buildings are multi-story civil structures without basements, rising five stories above ground, with a total height of 23.30 meters (from the outdoor design ground level to the top of the roof eaves), capable of accommodating 4,800 faculty and students simultaneously.
Technical Solution
First, the building's usage performance goals and energy consumption targets were established. The building's energy efficiency indicators are defined according to the table's specifications:

Among them, the comprehensive energy-saving rate for buildings refers to the relative energy savings achieved in primary energy consumption for heating, air conditioning, and lighting in ultra-low-energy public buildings, compared to a benchmark building that meets the requirements of the "Energy Efficiency Design Standard for Public Buildings" (GB 50189-2015).
The target values for the indoor environmental indicators of this project are set out in the following table:

The relevant energy-saving design indicators for the building structure are shown in the following table:

The phased technical solutions are outlined in the table below:
