Roof Photovoltaic Atlas (50) Wins the Norman Prize ・ Foster-certified religious building rooftop photovoltaics
This is a church in Münzingen, a town in the Canton of Bern, Switzerland, built in 1970. Since 2010, a series of green and energy-efficient renovations have been carried out progressively: including a geothermal heat pump, insulation, ventilation systems, and a rooftop photovoltaic system.
The rooftop photovoltaic system, installed in 2022, has a total installed capacity of 149 kWp and generates 138,800 kWh of electricity annually, enabling the entire building to achieve an energy self-sufficiency rate of 670%. It also earned the "Norman" award for 2022. ・ "Foster Solar Certificate"
