On August 18, Skyworth Photovoltaic held an event at the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum “Xihuan” Ecological-Level Platform Launch Conference At the conference, Skyworth Photovoltaic President Ma Long delivered a keynote speech titled "From Energy to Power." He pointed out that the current surge in energy demand has led to the depletion of some energy sources, and new energy sources are unstable, with nearly 10% wind and solar power being abandoned. The industry faces issues such as decentralization, management difficulties, and operational challenges. He emphasized that the key to solving these problems lies in mastering "energy management" capabilities, which essentially means shifting focus from the source to utilization, achieving efficient allocation and value extraction through four major paths: stability, intelligence, connectivity, and carbon.


 

Ma Long stated that in the next five years, Skyworth Photovoltaic will transition from "energy services" towards " energy management" to provide intelligent energy management services and build "shared, win-win, and symbiotic" Xihuan ecology. Our daily lives are inseparable from energy, which comes from energy sources. Energy sources are divided into renewable and non-renewable. With social and economic development, human demand for energy has surged sharply, leading to the depletion of some energy sources.


 

To achieve sustainable development, in recent years, we have focused on the development and construction of new energy. However, due to the instability of new energy, we have faced many difficulties and challenges, so only by mastering the management capability of "energy" can we promote a deep transformation of the energy structure and achieve carbon neutrality goals.


 

Today, I will share with you how Skyworth Photovoltaic aligns with national development needs, solves industry pain points, and excels in energy and power management.


 

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, with strong national policy support, new energy installations have grown rapidly, with cumulative wind and solar new energy installations increasing from 530GW at the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan to 1400GW.


 

In the past five years, the new energy industry has experienced an unprecedented installation boom. Each power station operates for 25 years or even more than 30 years, so power station quality has always been a major concern.


 

The industry has issues such as poor material selection, lack of business norms, and no construction standards. How to solve problems like distributed photovoltaic decentralization, management difficulties, and operational challenges has always been a pain point.


 


 

Building power stations with quality

Skyworth Photovoltaic customized design solutions based on the architectural styles of Cantonese, Hakka, and Chaoshan, winning 19 awards. In material selection, Skyworth Photovoltaic has established 318 standards exceeding industry norms. Core components are supervised on-site by TÜV Rheinland and North Germany. Skyworth is the only brand in the industry to supply all materials, controlling quality down to every screw.


 

In engineering processes, through full-process digital visualization management, we achieve paperless control from business information, exploration design, engineering processes, grid connection, power generation to operation and maintenance, with detailed traceability of every process detail.


 

In asset operation, Skyworth Photovoltaic has a full lifecycle management system for power stations, four-layer acceptance standards, intelligent AI monitoring to promptly detect power station issues, a nationwide extensive operation and maintenance network enabling minute-level work order follow-up, and smart equipment applications such as drone cleaning. From power generation to timely electricity fee collection, we realize full-process systematic management. We have also obtained national patent technology for identifying and diagnosing inefficient power stations, using big data models and AI algorithms to accurately identify abnormal causes in subhealthy power stations and promptly rectify them.


 

In the past five years, we have established three brands (Skyworth Photovoltaic, Qiming Photovoltaic, Nengliang Station). While new energy installations rise, the national wind and solar abandonment rate is increasing monthly, nearing 10%. In 2024, new energy power generation accounts for only 18.2%, total social electricity consumption grows by 6.8%, with new electricity demand exceeding 600 billion kWh, but new energy installations cannot meet the growth in electricity consumption. On one side is power shortage, on the other side is unused power generation. How should we solve this?


 

To address industry development pain points, we shift from "energy services" to "energy management," deepening resource utilization understanding and upgrading management concepts. Stability refers to stable output on the power supply side, including two aspects: one is multi-energy complementarity, and the other is energy storage configuration.


 

Power sources are classified by characteristics into non-adjustable power sources, adjustable power sources, and auxiliary power sources. Common forms of multi-energy complementarity include integrated wind, solar, hydro, and storage; integrated wind, solar, thermal, and storage; integrated wind, solar, and storage, etc. Energy storage is the best partner for multi-energy complementarity, serving as the hub for stability and balance. It can solve intermittency issues, achieve smooth output, provide support services, and improve green power consumption rates.


 

Skyworth's energy storage products include residential, commercial and industrial, and mobile portable storage, covering all-scenario application needs. Intelligent Control Overall: Smart Energy Management System Drives "Intelligent" Upgrades
 


 

In terms of intelligent control overall, Skyworth has developed a smart energy management system that uses IoT, AI monitoring, and other technologies to link the physical carriers, information exchange, and collaborative optimization of the elements "source," "load," and "storage," achieving intelligent energy management and application.


 

In energy dispatch, we apply a "cloud-edge-end" collaborative strategy control, aggregating distributed power sources, energy storage systems, controllable loads, charging piles, etc., combined with power generation forecasts, load forecasts, electricity price fluctuations, and grid dispatch instructions to adjust microgrid control strategies, ensuring stable and efficient operation of the distribution network. Another application scenario of smart energy management is the green power direct connection project, which aims to achieve point-to-point physical traceability of green energy and meet the green power demand of export products. Skyworth launched a factory-level energy management solution — the "Green Power Direct Connection" application case is the Skyworth Shenzhen Smart Industrial Park project, with an annual electricity consumption of 160 million kWh and configured with 200MW of new energy to meet green power demand.

In terms of seamless full chain, Skyworth Photovoltaics builds virtual power plants to enable energy flow. So what are the advantages of virtual power plants?
