Desert villa aesthetics, where ultimate transparency and privacy coexist.
The "Desert Crystal Cave" residence stands under the Arizona sun in the United States with a striking silhouette made of folded metal panels and sandblasted stone, resembling a shimmering crystal cave with a tough and powerful shell. The residence covers approximately 670 square meters and was designed by Kendle Design Collaborative.

Inside, the glass curtain wall extends all the way to the shell-shaped roof, allowing abundant natural light to pour in, creating an open and transparent atmosphere.

Upon entering, the material language softens: various woods and natural materials weave a warm symphony, while metal and stone accents echo the exterior facade and form a refined contrast indoors.

Passing through the foyer, a lush courtyard emerges, like a hidden oasis at the heart of the desert.

The courtyard pool collects and slowly releases rainwater during the rainy season, injecting vitality into the vegetation. The spacious living area, set against the backdrop of Camelback Mountain, becomes an ideal place for socializing and relaxation.

The south-facing facade is more transparent, connecting multiple terraces and a negative edge pool. The pool's water flow not only creates a visual highlight but also supports the building's passive cooling strategy.

The outdoor private dining area, fireplace, and open-air pavilion are surrounded by metal screens with organic patterns and dense vegetation, creating a comfortable resort-style living scene.

This residence, built on the framework of modernist free expression, integrates the power of nature and sustainable concepts, responding to regional characteristics while presenting an astonishing innovative experience. It is not just a home but a tribute to desert life in Arizona.
