Desert villa aesthetics, the ultimate in transparency and privacy coexist

The "Desert Geode" residence stands out in the Arizona sun with a striking silhouette composed of folded metal panels and sandblasted stone, like a glittering geode with a tough and powerful shell. The residence covers an area of approximately 670 square meters and was designed by Kendle Design Collaborative.

Inside, glass curtain walls extend all the way to the shell-shaped roof, allowing plenty of natural light to pour in, giving the space an open and transparent atmosphere.

Entering the interior, the material language becomes softer: a variety of woods and natural materials interweave a warm symphony, and the embellishment of metal and stone not only echoes the facade, but also forms a delicate contrast in the interior.

Passing through the foyer, a lush courtyard comes into view, like a secret oasis in the heart of the desert.

The courtyard pool collects and slowly releases rainwater during the rainy season, injecting vitality into the vegetation. The spacious living space is set against the backdrop of the distant Camelback Mountain, making it an ideal place for socializing and relaxing.

The south-facing facade is more transparent, connecting multiple terraces and negative-edge swimming pools. The water flow of the swimming pool not only forms a visual highlight, but also helps the building's passive cooling strategy.

The private outdoor dining area, fireplace and open-air pavilion are surrounded by organically patterned metal screens and dense vegetation, creating a pleasant resort-style living scene.

This residence uses the free expression of modernism as its framework, integrating the power of nature and sustainable concepts into it, which not only responds to regional characteristics, but also presents an amazing innovative experience. It is not only a residence, but also a song dedicated to Arizona desert life.
