National Energy Group Party Committee conveys and studies the important articles and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping recently

On August 11, Zou Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the National Energy Group, presided over a Party Committee meeting to convey and study the important articles and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping recently, and to study measures for implementation. Feng Laifa, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group Company; Xu Xinfu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Fu Zhenbang, Yang Peng, Wang Yimin, Yan Guochun, and Liu Jingshan, members of the Party Committee, attended the meeting.

The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the important article, General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the National Conference on Ecological and Environmental Protection, published in Qiushi Journal; to deeply understand and grasp the theoretical connotation and practical significance of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization; to firmly establish and practice the concept that 'lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets'; to focus on solving prominent environmental problems; and to comprehensively promote the integrated protection and systematic management of mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands, and deserts. The meeting also stressed the importance of resolutely rectifying the problems found in the central ecological and environmental protection inspection and the problems found in the Group's self-inspection; adhering to a problem-oriented approach; firmly pursuing green and low-carbon development; prioritizing reduction before elimination; and orderly carrying out 'carbon reduction' work. Finally, the meeting highlighted the need to strive to be a leading enterprise in the construction of a beautiful China; to further improve and perfect the implementation plan for creating a 'waste-free group'; and to strive to write a new chapter in ecological civilization construction in the new era.

The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on studying and absorbing the opinions and suggestions of netizens on the formulation of the 14th Five-Year Plan; to actively serve the national strategy for regional coordinated development; to widely solicit opinions from cadres and employees; to adopt a top-down, bottom-up, and integrated approach; to reasonably incorporate good ideas from the grassroots level and expert opinions from various sectors into the plan; to effectively unify strengthening top-level design with seeking advice from the people; and to ensure that a high-quality plan is produced that meets the requirements of the central government, conforms to the actual situation of the Group Company, and meets the expectations of all sectors of society.

The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the mountain torrent disaster in Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province; to maintain a sense of responsibility of always being concerned and an execution capability of being well-informed on all matters; to continuously strengthen flood control and prevention management; to improve emergency work plans; to enhance emergency response capabilities at all levels; and to make every effort to do a good job in flood prevention and power supply during the peak summer season.

Relevant assistant general managers and chiefs of staff of the Group Company, and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.
