Beijing South Railway Station's central roof uses integrated photovoltaic power generation, installing 3264 solar panels with a total power of 245 kilowatts. This created the largest photovoltaic power generation system installed in a public building in China, embodying the three major concepts of the Beijing Olympics: "green, technological, and humanistic." It has the effect of advocating energy conservation and environmental protection throughout society and serves as a public demonstration building.
