Beyond its stunning structural design, the "Crystal" is one of the most environmentally friendly buildings ever constructed. The "Crystal" itself provides a model for future cities—covering over 6300 square meters, it is a paragon of high energy efficiency.
Compared to similar office buildings, it saves 50% on electricity, reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 65%, and its heating and cooling needs are entirely met by renewable energy. The building utilizes natural light, with full daytime natural light utilization. It also employs smart lighting technology, where electricity is primarily sourced from photovoltaic solar panels, and the building is equipped with an integrated LED and fluorescent light switch system that adjusts according to the time of day.
Another interesting feature of the Crystal is its rainwater harvesting and blackwater recycling system. The building's roof collects rainwater, treats wastewater, and then purifies and converts the reclaimed water into drinking water.
