On June 26, the Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on the "Implementation Plan for Deepening the Standardization of Green and Low-Carbon Industrial and Information Technology." The notice points out the standards and rules for product carbon footprint accounting. Following the principle of prioritizing urgent needs, the focus is on key products such as steel, electrolytic aluminum, cement, chemical fertilizers, hydrogen, lime, glass, ethylene, synthetic ammonia, calcium carbide, methanol, lithium batteries, new energy vehicles, photovoltaics, and electronic and electrical appliances, as well as other industrial products with outstanding emission reduction contributions, urgent market demand, and significant supply chain driving effects, to formulate standards and rules for product carbon footprint accounting. Actively promote the development of standards for zero-carbon factories and zero-carbon industrial parks.
