Major Breakthrough! LDK's HIBC Technology and Mass Production Components Unveiled!
On June 11th, at the 18th (2025) International Solar Photovoltaic Exhibition (SNEC), LDK officially launched its newly developed HIBC technology and mass production component products. HIBC breaks new ground in the industry, achieving 700W+ power for the first time based on the 2382mmX1134mm golden size, and the mass production component efficiency is approaching 26%, comprehensively leading the photovoltaic component efficiency into the "25%+ era."

HIBC Major Launch
HIBC (Hybrid Interdigitated Back-Contact) technology, namely high and low temperature composite passivated back contact technology, integrates the characteristics of HJT and BC technologies, and for the first time globally achieves large-scale mass production of components.
LDK Chairman Zhong Baoshen said at the launch conference that this is another peak in LDK's technological innovation, and another major innovation in LDK's BC technology route.
In April 2025, the HIBC cell conversion efficiency reached 27.81%, creating a new world record, as certified by the Hamelin Solar Energy Institute (ISFH) in Germany.

Although LDK's HPBC2.0 product has already established a leading position in the market—a 72-piece standard-size component, consistently leading TOPCon products by 30W—LDK has not stopped its technological and product research and development.
The HIBC technology product launched this time achieves 700W+ power with the golden size of 2382mmX1134mm, a power density exceeding 259W/㎡, and a component efficiency as high as 25.9%. "This is currently the most efficient industrialized photovoltaic product in the world. Through the improvement of efficiency, that is, single-unit output, it truly achieves the unification of high value and reliability." said Zhong Baoshen.
259W/㎡ First to Introduce "Power Density"
At this launch conference, LDK's HIBC technology 700W component also made its official debut.

Compared with other 700W components in the industry (the size is mostly 2384mmX1303mm), this component has an area 0.4㎡ smaller, but its power density is 34W/㎡ higher, completely breaking the inherent logic in the industry that "large size brings high power."
"LDK has always adhered to technological innovation and has always adhered to high-quality standards and customer interests first." This component has a power density as high as 259W/㎡. Whether for increasingly scarce high-value land or valuable rooftops, this component will be a more valuable choice.
This is also the first time LDK has introduced the concept of "power density" in the industry. Another major value brought by HIBC technology is that it comprehensively leads the photovoltaic mass production component efficiency into the "25%+ era." As we all know, in the PERC era, the component efficiency is at 22%+, TOPCon brings 23%+, and the mass production efficiency of 24%+ components is opened by BC.
Now, the 700W component launched by LDK is the result of adding HJT high-quality passivation technology to BC technology. "In less than 3 years, we have raised the photovoltaic component efficiency to a higher level, which also fully demonstrates the high scalability of BC technology—with greater potential for efficiency improvement." said Zhong Baoshen.

In addition, the HIBC product adopts high-density packaging technology, and the cell area ratio has increased from 93.2% to 95.1%, which can greatly increase the light absorption area and truly achieve a balance between reliability and high efficiency.
On May 7 this year, LDK officially launched the EcoLife series at the Intersolar exhibition, which is a mass production product based on HIBC technology. This component has a mass production cell efficiency of 27.3% and a component efficiency exceeding 25%. Zhong Baoshen said that the reason for its first launch in Europe is mainly to target the high-end household market, and it will gradually be introduced to the domestic industrial and commercial market, striving to bring greater value to customers in the "post-5.31 era."

Moisture Resistance: For 40% of the global high-humidity and high-temperature regions and 84% of China's high-humidity industrial and commercial scenarios, HIBC uses advanced high-water-resistance materials to block the diffusion path of water molecules, and the moisture resistance attenuation ability is improved by more than 4 times compared to TOPCon products, ensuring long-term stable power generation in high-humidity environments;
High-Temperature Power Generation Advantage: The temperature coefficient is as low as -0.24%, better than the industry mainstream level, and the power generation gain in high-temperature environments is up to 3%. As of the end of May 2025, Longi has conducted technical docking with 191 partners worldwide, reaching cooperation agreements with 44 partners on 55 projects, covering seven major fields: silicon wafers, cells, components, system solutions, hydrogen energy, biomass, and engineering technology, achieving preliminary income of 1.95 billion yuan.
