Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) Series Products: The "Green New Clothes" for Buildings | China Construction's First Batch of Industrialized Promotion Products ④

China Construction Group is committed to empowering the transformation and upgrading of traditional construction with technological innovation, vigorously cultivating and developing new high-quality productivity, promoting the systematic and large-scale application of scientific and technological achievements of various innovative entities in the construction industry, promoting the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation towards the direction of "productization, industrialization, and marketization," striving to create a second growth curve for high-quality development, and better serving the people's yearning for a better life.

Recently, China Construction released its first batch of industrialized promotion product list, including 11 major products such as "building good houses." The group's official WeChat account has launched a special column on "China Construction's First Batch of Industrialized Promotion Products." Today, we will take you to the fourth issue, "Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) series products that allow energy utilization and architectural aesthetics to coexist harmoniously."

Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) Series Products

In the field of building photovoltaics, we often hear these two similar concepts: BAPV and BIPV:

BAPV (Building-Applied Photovoltaics)

Like putting a "hat" on a building, traditional photovoltaic panels are installed on the roof or walls via brackets, separate from the building structure, which may affect the appearance.

BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics)

Like implanting a "photosynthesis" system into a building, the components themselves are building materials (such as curtain walls and roofs), combining power generation and building material functions, perfectly integrated into the building design.

In short, BAPV is "external equipment," while BIPV is "innate skin." Among them, the LIGHT series is a typical representative of BIPV technology.

LIGHT Series: The "Green New Clothes" for Buildings

In the field of building-integrated photovoltaics, there is a new type of product that not only allows buildings to "generate their own electricity" but also achieves perfect integration with the building's appearance. Its service life is as long as 25 years. This is the LIGHT series of lightweight simulation photovoltaic components independently developed by Far East Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Construction Xingye Group. Creating "green new clothes" for buildings, allowing energy utilization and architectural aesthetics to coexist harmoniously, and making every building a "power plant" of clean energy, China Construction Xingye has conducted in-depth exploration in reconstructing the building energy ecosystem and has carried out three major innovations:

Material Innovation

A "super coat" as light as a feather: The combination of aerospace-grade materials and ultra-thin glass ensures strength while achieving a "light as a feather" texture, as if draping the building in a super coat that is both strong and light.

Simulation Breakthrough

The "top makeup artist" of architectural aesthetics: Outdoor colored glaze technology precisely replicates the texture of stone and aluminum plates, making photovoltaic components the "second skin" of the building's exterior. This technology uses a unique glaze formula and screen printing technology, not only achieving a 99% similarity in texture to natural stone but also optimizing light transmittance, allowing the components to present the same light and shadow effects as real building materials in sunlight.

Efficiency Upgrade

The "invisible engine" of energy conversion: Achieving high conversion efficiency, making the annual power generation per square meter of components equivalent to planting 12 fir trees. This battery, like a "power generation heart" hidden inside the components, converts more sunlight into electricity by optimizing the arrangement of crystalline silicon and the encapsulation process.

In a smart community in Shanghai, the energy network built by LIGHT components makes the building an energy hub:

Residents' buildings generate their own electricity and sell the surplus to the grid, reducing the community's overall energy costs by 40%.

Photovoltaic curtain walls and electric vehicle charging piles work together to create a "building-transportation" energy closed loop.

A blockchain-based energy trading platform makes green electricity transactions between neighbors possible.

The LIGHT series components make buildings not only places for people to shelter from the wind and rain but also "self-sufficient" and even "give back to society," making buildings energy production units, carbon emission calculators, and urban ecological nodes. To date, Far East Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. has participated in the compilation of 4 standards, including "Technical Standard for Building-Integrated Photovoltaics," "Testing Method for Solar Heat Gain Coefficient of Building-Integrated Photovoltaic Components," "Fire Prevention Regulations for Photovoltaic Buildings," and "Evaluation Standard for Healthy Building and Living Environment," and 1 local standard collection, "Shenzhen Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau's Add-on Elevator Collection," which will further standardize the application of photovoltaic components on building facades. It has been authorized 24 invention patents and 20 utility model patents. In the future, when buildings begin to actively embrace energy, our cities will usher in a greener, smarter, and more sustainable tomorrow.
