BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) PV modules

BIPV stands for Building-Integrated Photovoltaics
It is a solar photovoltaic power generation system that can be designed, constructed, and installed simultaneously with buildings, forming a perfect combination with the building. It is also known as "building-type" and "building material-type" solar photovoltaic buildings.
As part of the building's external structure, it has both power generation and building component and building material functions. It can even enhance the aesthetics of the building, forming a perfect unity with the building
Traditional single/double-glazed PV modules installed on rooftops face many problems, such as
① Dust accumulation problem Traditional single/double-glazed modules have a framed structure, which leads to a large accumulation of dust on the edges of the frame during use, resulting in a decrease in power generation Especially on color steel tile roofs, because they need to fit the roof slope, the dust accumulation is further increased.

② Maintenance difficulties In the case of full coverage on the roof, single and double-glazed components are difficult to clean and maintain because people cannot stand on them. If sufficient maintenance passages are reserved, the installed capacity per unit area will decrease.

③ Safety When single/double-glazed components are shaded due to trees, bird droppings, walls, etc., causing hot spot effects, although bypass diodes can reduce heat generation, single/double-glazed components may still break due to hot spot effects, becoming a safety hazard.

However, BIPV solar tiles can solve the above problems
① Solve the dust accumulation problem BIPV components, are essentially a "tile" that can generate electricity Our initial design was to make it a building material that can generate electricity Therefore, BIPV solar tiles have no frame, and the components are installed like tiles, overlapping layer by layer. Rainwater can then carry away dust unimpeded from the roof ridge to the gutter. This increases the power generation area and reduces the cost of component cleaning and maintenance.

The blue area is the effective power generation area, and the purple area is the reserved overlapping position

② Solve the maintenance difficulty problem: As mentioned earlier, the purpose of our design is to make it a building material that can generate electricity. Since it is a photovoltaic "tile" and a building material, it must support personnel to work normally on the components. Even in the case of full coverage, when maintenance and cleaning of the components are required, a water pipe can be directly dragged over the photovoltaic tiles, or a maintenance box can be directly carried over the components to check for problems. In order to achieve the feature that personnel can walk normally on the photovoltaic tiles, we use a new type of highly corrosion-resistant film-coated steel as the backsheet and the cells and the backsheet are separated by a special impact-resistant and pressure-resistant insulating material, Further increasing the mechanical strength of the components while ensuring insulation, making our components easier to maintain on the roof compared to single/double-glazed components.

③ Solve safety issues: 1) Hot spot problem: New type of highly corrosion-resistant film-coated steel backsheet, its thermal conductivity is far greater than glass, can quickly conduct the temperature at the hot spot to other places and dissipate it, reducing the temperature at the hot spot, and effectively improving safety. 2) Low-voltage inverter: The DC side of the Helio photovoltaic tile inverter is 48-120V low voltage, and the low-voltage operating state of the photovoltaic component can effectively avoid the DC arc phenomenon caused by interface abnormalities. 3) Building material A2 fire certification We have been emphasizing that we are making building materials with power generation functions! Our products have passed Nationally certified building material A2 fire rating
BIPV solar tiles also have features such as waterproofing, lightweight, aesthetics, and hail resistance.
