Kaj is the newest sustainable micro-hotel in Copenhagen, a rentable boutique boathouse. The story began when a couple, Barbara von Haffner and Toke Larsen, identified a gap in the market. With the help of architect Karl Smith Meyer, they decided to take action. Von Haffner owns Undercover Copenhagen, a company specializing in recycled and sustainable fabrics, and the couple's own home was built using eco-friendly methods, so it was natural for them to approach this project in an environmentally conscious way.
