Excellent Case Sharing | China's First 150-meter Super-high-rise BIPV Building

Introduction

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has issued an announcement soliciting public opinions on the "List of Demonstration Projects for Advanced Green and Low-carbon Technologies (First Batch)". The document shows that, There are a total of 47 green and low-carbon advanced demonstration projects in this NDRC initiative, with only 3 in the building sector. China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau's Science and Technology Innovation Building project is among them, listed as a building project focusing on "process carbon reduction."

The first batch of demonstration projects for advanced green and low-carbon technologies includes 47 projects in total. These cover source carbon reduction in areas such as batteries, wind power, nuclear power, geothermal energy, coal combustion, energy storage, power grids, and green hydrogen; process carbon reduction in industry, construction, transportation, and synergistic pollution reduction and carbon reduction; and end-of-pipe carbon sequestration in carbon dioxide resource utilization and carbon sequestration. These three major directions reflect the future trends of green and low-carbon technologies.

Located in the heart of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province – the East District of Guangzhou International Finance City – the China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau's Science and Technology Innovation Building project aims to construct a leading-edge super-A-class office building. While ensuring the overall architectural appearance, photovoltaic glass is installed on the horizontal decorative lines of the curtain wall eaves. This innovative design not only makes full use of solar energy resources but also uses an intelligent control system to achieve climate-intelligent sensing and photovoltaic power generation monitoring, ensuring grid connection of photovoltaic power generation throughout its entire life cycle.

As the photovoltaic equipment supplier for China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau's Science and Technology Innovation Building project, Mingyang Thin Film Technology actively cooperated with the production and supply of photovoltaic components for the project, laying a solid foundation for its timely completion. The project has completed LEED Gold pre-certification, near-zero energy consumption building design certification, and Green Building Three-Star pre-certification, and has been selected as a Guangdong Province dual-carbon pilot project, an engineering cost reform pilot project, a smart construction pilot project, and a key demonstration project of China Construction Group for low-carbon and zero-carbon initiatives.

Cadmium telluride photovoltaic glass With its good weak light performance and low dependence on tilt angle, it demonstrates unique advantages in the Applications of super-high-rise buildings. These characteristics enable it to maintain high power generation performance under various lighting conditions and adapt to the complex installation environment and angle requirements of super-high-rise buildings.
