Green Building Expert Tianhua Huang Zheng Dialogue: Harmonious Coexistence, Ushering in a New Era of Photovoltaic Building Integration

Today, green energy provides more energy solutions for people's daily lives and brings new design choices to the construction industry. At the Shanghai International Smart Building Exhibition held from September 3rd to 5th, science and art are staging a perfect "encounter."
At the exhibition, Huabao New Energy showcased its innovative product, the aesthetic curved photovoltaic tile. Notably, Huabao New Energy cleverly combines architectural aesthetics with modern photovoltaic technology, making the photovoltaic system more harmonious with the building itself and opening up new innovative paths for the photovoltaic building integration field. To this end, Huabao New Energy, in conjunction with Young Architects, conducted a dialoguewith green building expert Huang Zheng, deputy chief architect of Shanghai Tianhua and general manager of the Architectural Carbon Neutrality Research Center of Tianhua Group's Carbon Neutrality Research Instituteto analyze the development trends of the green building industry and conduct an in-depth dialogue on Huabao New Energy's innovative aesthetic curved photovoltaic tile, exploring the significance of this innovative product for the green building industry.
[Green Building: Seeking Opportunities in Challenges]
Young Architects:As green buildings gradually become a core issue in the construction industry, how do you view the current development trend of green buildings?
Huang Zheng:As an important development direction for the construction industry, green buildings focus on achieving resource conservation, environmental protection, and pollution reduction throughout the building's life cycle to promote harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. Under the dual challenges of global climate change and the energy crisis, exploring sustainable energy solutions has become particularly crucial. Photovoltaic energy, with its clean and renewable characteristics, is becoming a star in this exploration. Therefore, green buildings are increasingly favored by the industry, and photovoltaic building integration has become an important trend in promoting the development of green buildings.
Young Architects:As a senior expert in the field of green buildings, how do you assess the opportunities and challenges currently facing the green building industry?
Huang Zheng:The green building industry is in a transformative growth period, marking the construction industry's transition to environmental sustainability. With the growing global consensus on reducing carbon footprints and improving energy efficiency, green buildings have become a key pathway to achieving these goals.
In terms of opportunities, we see positive policy support, including incentive measures and the development of regulatory standards, which provide a solid foundation for the development of green buildings. At the same time, with continuous technological breakthroughs, especially innovations in photovoltaic and energy-saving materials, more efficient and economical solutions are provided for the implementation of green buildings.
In terms of challenges, although the concept of green buildings has been widely accepted, multiple obstacles remain in practice. First, the design and construction of green buildings require interdisciplinary expertise and collaboration, placing higher demands on industry practitioners. Second, the cost-benefit analysis and long-term return on investment of green buildings still need further clarification to attract broader market investment. In addition, how to integrate the concept of green buildings with the existing urban and building environment, especially finding a balance between historical preservation and modern development needs, is also an important issue facing the industry today.

[Technological Innovation: Opening Up New Heights for Green Buildings]
Young Architects:In your opinion, what impact will the launch of Huabao New Energy's aesthetic curved photovoltaic tiles have on the development of green buildings?
Huang Zheng:The launch of photovoltaic tiles marks a significant leap in design and functionality in the field of green buildings. Traditional photovoltaic panels, when integrated into buildings, often clash with architectural aesthetics due to their standardized appearance, thus limiting the diversity and innovation in the design of green buildings.
Photovoltaic tiles, through streamlined design, combine photovoltaic technology with architectural aesthetics, making photovoltaic components not only provide clean energy but also become part of the architectural aesthetics. This design innovation allows photovoltaic tiles to seamlessly integrate into various architectural styles, thus broadening the design horizons of green buildings.
At the technical level, photovoltaic tiles not only maintain high conversion efficiency but also enhance their adaptability to extreme climate conditions, which improves energy output while ensuring long-term reliability and durability.

[Looking to the Future: Making Green Energy Accessible]
Young Architects:In your view, what role will Huabao New Energy's aesthetic curved photovoltaic tiles play in promoting energy conservation and emission reduction and improving the environmental friendliness of buildings?
Huang Zheng:With the continuous maturity of technology, the performance and efficiency of photovoltaic tiles have been significantly improved, providing practical and feasible solutions for the development of green buildings. According to the calculation data provided by Huabao New Energy, a family rooftop with 100 square meters of photovoltaic tiles installed, using aesthetic curved photovoltaic tiles, is expected to generate 300,000 to 700,000 kilowatt-hours of clean electricity within a 25-year warranty period (different regions, different climates, different power generation), equivalent to reducing up to 696 tons of carbon emissions, which is equivalent to the environmental benefits of planting 472 trees.
Such data demonstrates the potential of photovoltaic tiles and indicates the application prospects of photovoltaic technology in a wider range of fields. With the continuous innovation of photovoltaic technology, we have reason to believe that it will play an increasingly important role in the global household green electricity field, driving the entire industry into a new stage of development. At the same time, this will also encourage more families and buildings to adopt green energy, working together towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
