Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), as a new technology that combines solar power generation with buildings, is an important means of achieving zero-carbon building goals and promoting the development of green buildings. In recent years, China has successively issued a series of documents, including the "14th Five-Year Plan for Building Energy Efficiency and Green Building Development," the "Work Plan to Accelerate Energy Efficiency and Carbon Reduction in the Construction Sector," and the "Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of New Building Industrialization," clarifying the goals and paths for BIPV development during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period and beyond.

“However, in actual development, there are still problems such as low public awareness of BIPV, underestimated development potential, and an imperfect industry standard system, which restricts the further large-scale development of the industry.On March 5th, the Building Magazine of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development learned from Longi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. that at this year's Two Sessions,National People's Congress Deputy, Chairman of Longi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Zhong Baoshenhas brought forward a "Proposal on Vigorously Developing Building-Integrated Photovoltaics."

Mobilize all forces to strengthen the promotion and popularization of BIPV.Through policy guidance, demonstration projects, media publicity, and industry education, among other methods,carry out various BIPV publicity and promotion activities. Continuously improve social awareness,promote BIPV from "technology demonstration" to "large-scale application," and lead a new low-carbon and green life.

Implement the "dual carbon" action, and include the development goals of BIPV in the new five-year plan.It is suggested that relevant departmentsassess the potential for the renovation and construction of existing buildings in Chinaand, combining China's existing advantages in the photovoltaic industry, set an annual target of 20GW (considering 10% of the development potential) for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, accelerate the implementation process, provide China's buildings with more green primary energy, and contribute to the achievement of the "dual carbon" goal.

Strengthen top-level planning and improve the BIPV standard system at the national level. It is suggested to establish a cross-departmental standard coordination mechanism, and adopt the "simultaneous design, simultaneous construction, simultaneous acceptance" three-simultaneous approach to policy guidance,systematically improve the BIPV standard system at the national level, and promote the in-depth and perfect integration of photovoltaics and buildings. In addition,strengthen international cooperation and promote "standard going global,"promote the development of China's BIPV industry, and comprehensively create China's international competitive advantage in the BIPV industry.
