SDE4 Building in Singapore
This is an innovative educational building designed by the National University of Singapore's School of Design and Environment. SDE4 is a 6-story multidisciplinary space covering an area of 8,500 square meters.Singapore's first newly built net-zero energy building,One of the main features of the SDE4 building isthe large cantilevered roof, which is equipped with over 1,200 photovoltaic panels that harness solar energy to meet the power needs of the entire building.

The building contains an innovative hybrid cooling system designed by Transsolar KlimaEngineering, which provides 100% fresh pre-cooled air indoors. Although the temperature and humidity are higher than traditional systems, the ceiling fans also increase the airflow.

In school rooms that require cooling, compared to traditional buildings in Singapore, the system with ceiling-following devicesthe "hybrid cooling system" can reduce electricity consumption by approximately 36% to 56%.
