Glyndebourne Croquet Pavilion, UK

This croquet pavilion is located at the Glyndebourne Opera House in the UK. It utilizes the principles of a circular economy to minimize carbon footprint, combining local waste materials and reversible design, allowing the building to be dismantled and its components reused. In addition to using discarded champagne corks, wine corks, oyster, and lobster shells, the studio also uses white ash trees that were cut down due to ash dieback disease and chalk excavated nearby to construct the exhibition hall.
Each material will be combined in a way that allows for deconstruction—secured with bolts rather than glued—to ensure their recyclability and reusability.
