A few days ago, the village of Toru Aygyr in the Isyk Kul region of Kyrgyzstan has started the construction of a 300 MW solar power plant.
It is reported that the project is constructed by Bishkek Solar Energy Company of Kyrgyzstan and Unigreen Energy Company of Russia.
Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Kyrgyzstan, said: "The new renewable energy technology is a reliable, stable and modern energy source."
Japarov pointed out that the development of renewable energy is the future of Kyrgyzstan's energy sector.
"The Kyrgyz government allocated a piece of land, drew up and signed a regulatory legal bill, and determined the source of financing for the project," said Akylbek Japarov, adding that everything was ready for the start of construction of the power plant.
In March 2023, following the meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Council for Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation, representatives of Russian and Kyrgyz companies signed an agreement to build a solar power plant in the Issyk-Kur region. The total investment of the project is as high as 300 million US dollars. (This article is compiled from the New Energy Information Bureau, please indicate the source for reprinting)
