A few days ago, the German Federal Grid Management Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) allocated 1.952GW of photovoltaic installed capacity in the photovoltaic tender, slightly exceeding the 1950MW originally planned by the Bundesnetzagentur.

Klaus Mller, chairman of the Bundesnetzagentur, said: "For the first time since June 2022, the number of bids received significantly exceeds the planned capacity."

It is reported that the highest electricity price in this auction is €0.0737 ($0.081)/kWh, and the final average electricity price is €0.0703/kWh, ranging from €0.0529/kWh to €0.0730/kWh.

The southern state of Bavaria received the largest share of allocated capacity with 845MW, followed by Brandenburg with 223MW and Rhineland-Palatinate with 163MW.

Bundesnetzagentur also revealed that about 851MW was allocated to projects on arable land and grassland in underdeveloped areas, and another 755MW was awarded to photovoltaic projects along highways and railways.

The agency allocated 609MW of photovoltaic installed capacity in the previous photovoltaic bidding, which was also oversubscribed. The final average price was €0.0580/kWh, which was slightly higher than the previous round of procurement of €0.0510/kWh. The bidding price ranged from €0.0520/kWh to €0.0520/kWh 0.0590/kWh range.

The Bundesnetzagentur will hold its next ground-mounted PV tender on July 1, hoping to allocate 1,611MW. (This article is compiled from pv-magazine, please indicate the source for reprint)
