According to Jakson Group, an Indian energy conglomerate, the company has recently signed a contract with Jinchen for a 600MW photovoltaic production line.
The deal represents a step forward in Jakson's plan to secure expansion of the company's solar manufacturing capacity in India to 3GW by 2026, while serving international markets.
Currently, Jakson has a 500MW solar module facility in Greater Noida, and Jinchen's 600MW equipment line will expand the company's existing production in Greater Noida to 1.1GW.
The new line will be installed by the middle of this year, Jakson said. The factory will be equipped with a fully automated production line to produce the latest p-type modules, n-type modules and 210 modules, including single and double-sided models.
It is understood that the cumulative module size of Jakson will increase from 500MW to 1GW within 5-6 months. The company's goal is to have a cumulative operational battery and module capacity of 2GW by the end of 2024. (This article is compiled from pv-magazin, please indicate the source for reprinting)
