Seattle, USA: Bullitt Center

According to Seattle-based journalist Randy Woods, the Bullitt Center incorporates numerous cutting-edge sustainable‑development technologies, such as an underground cistern equipped with a system for collecting and filtering household wastewater, and a green roof that helps filter rainwater.

In addition, it is equipped with a toilet that uses an aerobic system to break down waste, a rooftop solar panel array capable of generating enough electricity to power the entire building for a year, and large windows that provide ample natural lighting and ventilation.

In addition, the Brittle Center’s concrete floor slabs are equipped with a solar‑powered hot‑water radiant heating system, and its basement houses multiple 400‑foot‑deep thermal exchange wells to help regulate office temperatures.

The buildings at the Bullitt Center are equipped with sensors that monitor light intensity, carbon dioxide levels, indoor and outdoor temperatures, and weather conditions.
